How do I enable JavaScript in my browser?

Internet Explorer (7.0)

  1. Select 'Tools' from the top menu
  2. Choose 'Internet Options'
  3. Click on the 'Security' tab
  4. Select the 'Internet' zone (the globe)
  5. Click on 'Custom Level'
  6. Scroll down until you see section labled 'Scripting'
  7. Under 'Active Scripting' click the radio button to the left of 'Enable', so that a coloured dot appears in it
  8. Click 'OK' in Warning dialog box
  9. Click 'Yes' in the Warning message box
  10. Click 'OK' to close the Internet Options dialog box

Netscape Navigator

  • This classic browser is being discontinued in favour of Firefox. Please upgrade as soon as possible.

Mozilla Firefox (1.0)

  1. Select 'Tools' from the top menu
  2. Choose 'Options'
  3. Choose 'Web Features' from the left navigation
  4. Select the checkbox next to 'Enable JavaScript' and click OK

Mozilla Firefox (1.5)

  1. Select 'Tools' from the top menu
  2. Choose 'Options'
  3. Choose 'Content' from the top navigation
  4. Select the checkbox next to 'Enable JavaScript' and click OK

Mozilla Firefox (3) PC

  1. Select 'Tools' from top menu
  2. Choose 'Option'
  3. Choose 'Content'
  4. Select the checkbox next to 'Enable Javascript'

Mozilla Firefox (3) Mac

  1. Select 'Preferences' from the 'Firefox' menu
  2. Choose 'Content' from the top navigation
  3. Select the checkbox next to 'Enable JavaScript' and click OK

Apple Safari (3.0) PC

  1. Select 'Edit' from Top menu
  2. Choose 'Preferences'
  3. Choose 'Security'
  4. Select the checkbox next to 'Enable JavaScript'

Apple Safari (1.0 - 5.0) Mac

  1. Select 'Safari' from the top menu
  2. Choose 'Preferences'
  3. Choose 'Security'
  4. Select the checkbox next to 'Enable JavaScript'

AOL 9VR browser PC

  1. Right click AOL icon on toolbar bottom right of your screen near your clock
  2. Choose 'One Click Fixes'
  3. Scroll down to 'Internet'
  4. Choose 'Enable Sun Java' in IE by clicking 'fix it for me' box

Please keep in mind that upgrading your browser or installing new security software or security patches may affect your JavaScript settings. It is a good idea to double-check that JavaScript is still enabled after making any changes to your browser settings.
